Job Security – Issue Number 1 for Employees
Recent research from the fourth quarter of 2008 shows a marked shift
in employee sentiment. Job security is now issue number one. We are
seeing cutbacks in raises, delays in raises, and the suspension of
incentive compensation. At this point communications with employees
is really critical to morale. Reinforce their role and be as transparent
as possible during this critical period. Employees will rally and be
motivated to help their company succeed.
