Referrals

Referral processing is a key component of our NSS XSELLerator Performance Management System for banks and credit unions.

Features

Origination: XSELLerator originates an automated referral through its Performance Management Portal. Once signed on to the Portal an originator of referrals can leave the screen down on the task bar for quick access. Information on the prospect can be quickly entered along with comments to assist the person receiving the referral in making a personalized, proactive follow-up call.

Routing: Referrals are routed via e-mail. The recipient can be selected from an employee list or hard wired based on the product opportunity and/or the origination location of the referral. Another option is to send the referral to a department mailbox where a manager can reassign them based on workload.

Follow-up: Activities associated with following-up on a referral are accumulated and attached to the original referral. In addition, a To Do can be posted to your Outlook calendar to help manage your follow-up actions.

Matching to a sale: XSELLerator automates the matching of a referral to a sale. Since we also perform sales tracking we have the capability of matching a referral record to a sales record based on several different criteria available including phone number and last four digits of ssn.

Processing Status: The status of referrals can be reviewed through the Performance Management Portal. Originators, servicers, and sales management can review their referral portfolios with a robust filtering function so you can quickly find just what you are looking for.

Incentives: There are many different incentive options to reward referral performance. You can pay on referrals originated or only on referrals that turn into new business. Incentive amounts can be unit or dollar based and optionally, only paid if targets are met. Payment amounts can vary based on the product and plans can vary based on the role and/or location of the employee. Detailed employee incentive statements are produced that clearly reconcile payment amount with transactions.

Scorecards: Referral scorecards can be created to create a measurement focus for strategic products.


Reporting: Reporting is by employee and location. For each report offered, there are multiple parameters to select so you quickly get to just the information you need. Referrals are reported based on number originated and number that turned into sales. The units and dollars associated with sales are reported along with the number of new versus existing customers. Some of our reports are the following:

• Referral performance by employee month-to-date
• Referral performance by location month-to-date
• Outstanding referrals by location originated
• Outstanding referrals by employee
